Çamlıca Mosque

In 2018, Spacecannon contributed to the night-time enhancement of the magnificent Çamlıca Mosque in Istanbul, creating one of the most elegant examples of the fusion between modern lighting and traditional Ottoman architecture.

The lighting design, by Utku Bashir's studio (Aydınlatma Merkezi), used products from the eWHITE Dynamic outdoor range, combining warm white and cool tones to accentuate the shapes of the domes and minarets.

The products were calibrated to reproduce the atmosphere of sunrise and sunset, emphasising the architectural volumes of stone and Ottoman-style details. In the evening, the Mosque is transformed into a visual beacon on Çamlıca Hill, visible from many neighbourhoods in Istanbul.
