The project began with the aim of creating a recognisable and immersive Christmas scene. To achieve this, Spacecannon installed a system of projectors mounted on truss structures, used to project a landscape featuring pine trees, log cabins, deer and gnomes.
The scene was created using 300W Black Devil Easy projectors, chosen specifically for projecting Christmas imagery. The most delicate part of the work involved blending the various images into a single coherent panorama: a precise fine-tuning process, necessary to avoid visual discontinuities and present the square with a cohesive, clear and immersive image.
The result is a light installation that does not merely illuminate the space, but transforms it into a visual narrative.

Alongside the static images of the Christmas landscape, Spacecannon created a falling snow effect using Black Devil 300 projectors.

To ensure precise control over the effect, shaping systems were used that were capable of containing the snow at ground level. This approach prevented the snow from spilling onto surrounding surfaces and ensured that the visual effect remained clean, tidy and consistent with the overall setting.

In the ‘Christmas in Mesero 2025’ project, the glowing snow is not merely a decorative detail: it is a dynamic element that adds depth to the scene and contributes to the fairy-tale atmosphere of the entire space.

A key part of the project involved the projection mapping of the church.
EYE 200 projectors with precision optics were used for this application. Through a meticulous mapping process, Spacecannon outlined and highlighted the architectural details of the façade, colouring them in different shades.
The light followed the architecture without flattening it. Cornices, reliefs and volumes were treated as elements to be interpreted and enhanced, restoring a controlled and recognisable visual presence to the façade.
This is where architectural lighting comes into the Christmas design: not as an afterthought, but as an interpretation of the existing space.

The work began with defining the theme of the projection and the colours to be used, developed in collaboration with the client. From there, the project moved on to selecting the products, installing them on trusses, mapping the surfaces, adjusting the effects and managing the final dismantling.
